Commercial Parts Counter Person

Local Heavy Truck, Western Star, Fuso, Repair Shop, servicing customers since 1976, is growing once again. We are looking for an Experienced Heavy Truck Parts Counter Personnel in our busy Commercial Vehicle Dealership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pulls and fills orders

  • Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts/materials that need immediate attention

  • Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary

  • Notifies the service advisor and/or customer when special ordered parts arrive

  • Follows up on back ordered parts

  • Assists outside sales representatives with their orders

  • Keeps current on new products and product updates

Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in commercial truck

  • Positive interaction with customers in person and via telephone are a must

  • Can do attitude

  • Medium to Heavy truck parts knowledge necessary

  • Prior experience working with customers and providing an exceptional experience

  • Valid U.S. driver's license

  • Must be willing to submit and pass a background check and drug screen

Service Advisor/Shop Foreman

Bayshore Ford Truck Sales, servicing customers since 1976, is growing once again and we are expanding our Service Departments. We are seeking Service Advisors and a Shop Foreman with a minimum of 5 year hands on experience in the automotive and/or truck industry.

Responsibilities of Service Advisor:

  • Advise customers on the care of their vehicles and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufactures' specifications, using maintenance menus

  • Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner, let customers who are waiting in line know that they will be helped soon

  • Schedule appointments

  • Communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problem

  • Obtain customer and vehicle data

  • If additional work is needed, explain the details to the customer, including the additional cost and time consideration

  • Handle telephone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments, and return phone messages promptly

  • Follow-up progress of each repair order during the day

  • Be responsible for quality control to ensure that work is completed as requested and to reduce comebacks

  • Interpret warranty information and policies to customers

  • Identify RO's that require special handling such as rush, customer waiting, special problem, comeback

  • Be up-to-date on technical and performance information

  • Know the product well enough to answer characteristic and operational questions regarding the customers vehicle

Responsibilities of Shop Foreman:

  • Oversees the management and daily operations as it relates to the technicians in the service department

  • Ensures all service level targets are met or exceeded

  • Manages and mentors staff

  • Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures

  • Guarantees customer satisfaction in all areas

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements for Service Advisors and Shop Foreman:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience - Automotive Service Advisor

  • Minimum of 5 years automotive and/or heavy truck experience - Shop Foreman

  • Strong computer skills

  • Safety oriented

  • Excellent customer service and communication, including ability to maintain composure under stress

  • Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task and able to manage time in fast-paced environment

  • High School Diploma or higher, automotive training a plus

  • Flexible with hours and schedules

  • Highly professional and dependable

  • Stable career with previous employers

  • Must be willing and able to submit and pass pre employment testing, including background checks (MVR, drug test and physical)

Quick Lane Technician

Bayshore Ford Truck Sales, servicing customers since 1976, is growing once again and we are expanding our Quick Lane Service Department. We are seeking qualified entry level Lube Technicians and Technicians with a minimum of 1 year hands on professional experience.

Must be able to perform the following:

  • Complete vehicle inspections, oil changes, tires, brakes, alignments and fluid replacements and routine vehicle maintenance

  • Explain and document in detail needed repairs to the Service Advisor

  • Maintain an organized, clean work area

  • Follow company safety policies and procedures

  • Alignment tech is a Plus

Qualifications: 

  • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Basic Computer skills

  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Team player

  • Must have a valid driver's license
